The current economic environment presents a great opportunity for investors to buy bonds. For instance, the US 2-year government bond, essentially a risk-free instrument, currently offers an annual return of 4.85% – the highest level in over 15 years. Similarly, most USD investment grade corporate bonds offer an annual return of over 6.00%, levels not seen in over a decade.
However, bonds can seem intimidating to some investors, given that they come with their own set of terminologies, calculations and structures. This course is designed to simplify bonds for individual investors and to equip them with the knowledge and analytical skills required to buy bonds with confidence.
The course will be taught by senior bond market bankers who have decades of experience at premier global banks including Credit Suisse, Standard Chartered and Citi. The teaching style will be a balanced mix of theory and practice, with every fundamental concept complemented with real-world examples from the current bond markets.
