China’s Premier Li Keqiang said that risks to top property developers will be guarded against, being one of the government’s priorities this year. China’s government said in a report said that it would promote the sector’s stable development and prevent disorderly expansion. This comes after several developers including the likes of Evergrande, Kaisa, Shimao etc. defaulted on their bonds since late-2021. In efforts to promote the sector’s development, Li Keqiiang said the government would resolve housing issues for young people and support the needs of homebuyers.
