The Qatar Investment Authority’s (QIA) stake in Credit Suisse has been doubled, with the company now becoming the second largest shareholder in the swiss-bank. The QIA now owns 6.8% of the bank’s shares, second to the 9.9% stake held by the Saudi National Bank. Credit Suisse is set to report its Q4 and 2022 full-year earnings on February 9. The increase in stake comes after the bank’s $4.2bn capital raise since it reported its Q3 earnings in late October.
Credit Suisse’s dollar bonds were slightly higher – its 7.5% Perp was up 0.7 points to trade at 91.63, yielding 27.8% to its call date of 17 July 2023.
