Indian retailer Future Retail and Amazon are said to be considering an out of court settlement after a year-long legal battle over the proposed sale of the former’s assets to Reliance Retail, as per two people familiar with the matter. The Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) is expected to give its initial rulings later this month on whether Future Retail should be party to the arbitration, as per ET. The sources stated that the ruling could pave the way for negotiations between the two parties for a settlement. Any delay in the settlement of the dispute will not bode well for Future Retail, which is struggling with its huge debt pile and liquidity crunch.

Future Retail’s 5.6% 2025s traded a tad higher at 59.47 yielding 24.23%.
